About Us The Creed Merchandise Donations

The Hockey Project was founded by Don Moorhouse in June of 2007. Moorhouse has received a Level 4 Advanced Coaching Certificate from USA Hockey and is currently the Head Coach of the 1994 Bantam Minor Blades of the Massachusetts Select League. Moorhouse has 25 years of coaching experience beginning with a three-year stint as an assistant coach with the American International College men’s ice hockey program that culminated with a 1989 ECAC Championship. He has served as a youth hockey coach with the Springfield Capitals, Westfield Jr. Bombers, and Western Mass Pioneers. Moorhouse is entering his 6th year as the play-by-play radio voice of the University of Massachusetts Men’s Ice Hockey team.

The Hockey Project provides inner-city kids with certified training, equipment, and ice-time. The program also provides scholarships for participation in youth leagues and summer hockey camps.
